SBAC Results, 2016-2022

After students finish the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC), the state shares their results using four achievement levels: Level 1-Minimal Understanding, Level 2-Partial Understanding, Level 3-Proficient, and Level 4-Advanced. If a student scores at a Level 4 or Level 3, this is considered at or above grade level. If a student scores at a Level 2 or Level 1, this is considered below grade level

The following sections present the various achievement levels and their year-over-year changes.

Note: In 2020, SBAC assessments were not required due a waiver by the U.S. Department of Education in response to COVID-19. There is no SBAC data for the 2019-2020 school year.
